In this promotional video, we wanted to break the visual convention popular in the Intellectual Property industry. We needed the animation to set IP Tutorial apart from the corporate style of other companies in this market. We've decided to use vibrant IP Tutorial brand colors and combine them with elements from the Highlights Illustration Library to maintain the handcrafted feeling.
IP Tutorial's objective was to attract potential students who are looking for an alternative to traditional law studies to learn about IP. A fast-paced animation with an uplifting soundtrack was used to promote the 'The basics of Copyright' event on social media. Some of the shots from this animation will also become a base for other videos created by IP Tutorial to promote their events in the future.
The main motive waived into all the scenes is a circle. Round shapes and circular movement of the elements connect the scenes and provides a smooth transition for the viewer's eye. Hand-drawn elements and flickering patterns create a unique contrast to simple short texts.
